The prophet Joel unveils a vision both terrifying and tender: the Day of the Lord, when justice thunders through the Valley of Jehoshaphat. Nations that trampled the innocent will face divine reckoning. Yet amid the storm, a sanctuary rises- Mount Zion, where God dwells not in wrath, but in mercy. For those who remain faithful, who seek refuge not in power but in the heart of God, He becomes a stronghold, a fountain of renewal. The land will bloom again. Life will be restored. Blessing will flow like wine from the hills.

This is not distant prophecy-it is present invitation. Is our relationship with the Lord God rooted in reverence and tender surrender, or diluted by convenience and complaint? Do we seek His Will with burning desire, or do we treat Him as a dispenser of favors, reluctant to share, slow to forgive?

When a woman praises Mary, and Jesus responds with piercing clarity: "Blessed are those who hear the Word of God and keep it." Mary's greatness lies not in biological relationship, but in obedience. She received the Word, surrendered to it, and bore it into the world. This is true blessedness: not lip service, but life service. From this episode, Jesus offered everyone the opportunity to become not just passive hearers of the Word but active doers of the Word.

Lord, let us submit and remain steadfast in You, not out of fear, but out of love that our obedience to Your words be tender and our service be honest.
