The spiritual claims that people make can always be evaluated by observing how they live. Many in Corinth belonged to different factions, all claiming to have the truth and to be spiritually advanced. But Paul insisted that the Spirit draws everyone closer and creates an atmosphere of harmony, cooperation, tolerance, and love. All these qualities were lacking in Corinth and Paul concluded that they were spiritual infants and had to be fed with milk rather than solid food. All spiritual claims, including our own, must pass this test.

Jesus worked non-stop in Peter's house - people were desperate for healing and Jesus could not bear to turn anyone away. He rose early and disappeared, and when the Apostles found Him, they wanted Him to continue His healing ministry - and there was nothing wrong with that. But Jesus refused - He had spent the night in prayer and had become convinced that His true mission was to carry the message to as many towns as possible. Often, our choices are not between good and evil, but between good and better. Where we can do the greater good for the greater number, with a greater quality of service, should be our guide, as well as asking what God wants of us. We need to pray and ask God to show us His Will when we want to serve Him better.
