In the first reading, the apostle Paul addresses the confusion among believers about “the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.” In the midst of the anxiety, Paul reassures them not to be shaken or deceived by rumours, spiritual claims or false teachings. These days, it would be fake news and deepfake AI-generated videos. Faith requires steadiness and discernment, especially in times of confusion, to hold on to what we have received and been taught. Holding on means not just to believe, but also to be lived out, grounded in truth, and perseverance.

Living out the truth begins within the heart. This inner work is what gives meaning to everything outward. We must let love shape everything else, and make justice, mercy and faithfulness the core of our faith in God. Thus, interior conversion is more important than external appearances. Without interior conversion, external obedience will only lead to hypocrisy and falsehood.

Let us start then by “cleaning the inside,” that is the interior of our beings - to practise mercy and forgiveness, seek justice where possible, and stay faithful in both public and hidden moments of our lives. Let us be integrated and well-balanced.

Lord, help us to be faithful to You at all times. Amen.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer you everything I do this day. I offer you my prayers, thoughts, words, joys and sufferings in union with the Eucharistic sacrifice of your Son Jesus Christ. May the Holy Spirit who guided and empowered Jesus be my guide and strength so that I can be a witness to your love. Amen.

PRAYING WITH THE CHURCH
INTENTION
Let us pray that in large cities often marked by anonymity and loneliness, we find new ways to proclaim the Gospel, discovering creative paths to build community.
